About the Senior Copywriter

Material is seeking a versatile Senior Copywriter who thrives on curiosity, connection, and clarity. You’re an expert dot-connect—able to translate highly technical, complex ideas into compelling, human-centered content that resonates and inspires action. With proven expertise in B2B technology and/or B2B financial services, you’re that rare writer who can interview technical subject matter experts and translate dense briefs and research decks into impactful stories that connect and convert. While your portfolio shines with smart B2B work, you bring a creative edge that resonates with consumer audiences as well.

This is a client-facing position, working with a dynamic and collaborative marketing team developing innovative digital campaigns aimed at senior decision-makers. You’ll help clients tell critical, forward-thinking stories—narratives that guide global organizations as they adopt AI and navigate full-scale digital transformation, or reimagine their broad investment strategies. A strong understanding of enterprise IT priorities is essential, including the ability to connect emerging technology and AI to challenges like innovation, agility, productivity, data governance, endpoint and identity management, and more.

Copywriters at Material are skilled in their ability to think, conceptualize, write, and present great work. They play a key role in concepting, crafting, and delivering impactful content. You’ll partner closely with designers, art directors, strategists, and account leads to produce work that’s clear, engaging, and visually resonant—across a range of formats.

As the Senior Copywriter you will

  • Lead the writing and concepting for digital, email, print, and social content

  • Write scripts for short-form social video content

  • Craft thought leadership content, including articles, downloadable e-books, and long-form assets—managing everything from topic ideation to research, interviews, and writing

  • Collaborate closely with creative partners and strategy teams to bring concepts to life

  • Build and deliver impactful client presentations and slide decks

About You

  • 5+ years of writing experience, with a strong background in B2B technology and/or financial services—especially for enterprise audiences

  • A portfolio showcasing exceptional digital, email, social media, and print campaigns

  • Excellent conceptual and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, human-centered stories

  • Comfort working autonomously with curiosity and initiative, diving deep into technical topics

  • Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity

  • Strong client presentation and collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets). Bonus: Experience with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools to elevate individual productivity and streamline team workflows (a plus)
