About the job

Red Hat’s award-winning Content Team is looking for a Content Strategist to join us in Raleigh, NC to lead content strategy for Red Hat’s partner marketing efforts.

In this role, you‘ll develop trusted relationships with internal Red Hat stakeholders representing numerous teams across Red Hat’s Partner Ecosystem Success organization—including Ecosystem Development, product managers of various partner websites, and Partner Marketing. These relationships will allow you to plan, create, evaluate, and connect content across various Red Hat partner-marketing domains to create digital journeys and tactics that:

  • Attract and convert potential Red Hat partner companies.

  • Help Red Hat work with existing partners to market joint IT solutions.

While you will be supported by professionals from other specialities (including Web Writers, User Experience (UX) Specialists, Account and Project Managers, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) professionals, and other team members), you will share in the responsibilities of stakeholder relationship management, data analysis, and writing. You will also be jointly responsible for various content management system (CMS) duties, including editing, authoring, publishing, and maintenance.

What you will do

  • Define the work needed to relaunch one of Red Hat’s primary partner marketing websites, which will include:

    • A full site redesign informed by Red Hat’s revamped partner program, behavioral trends of existing site visitors, and guidance from Red Hatters specializing in areas like UX, design, wayfinding, and accessibility.

    • Defining multiple digital journeys for specific partner personas, with full representation across our portfolio of products and partner programs.

    • Establishing logical content integrations between pre-login partner marketing sites and partner experiences requiring a login.

    • Provide content strategy consultation across satellite partner marketing sites and content.

    • Collaborate with personalization, email marketing, social media, video, blog, audio, branding/advertising, and other specialists/program managers to create cohesive plans.

  • Monitor and report on the health and status of partner-marketing domains.

  • Measure the effectiveness of your projects against defined goals and larger marketing team goals.

  • Consult with peers to monitor content performance and optimize against defined KPIs.

  • Connect with content contributors across Red Hat to create consistent experiences for existing and prospective customers.

  • Apply your unique skills and insights to identify opportunities to make Red Hat better.

  • Serve as an advocate for Red Hat’s brand and voice.

  • Be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company.

What you will bring

  • An ability to understand and simplify complex situations, as well as translate complex technical content into compelling narratives.

  • Passion for exceptional user experiences.

  • Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative work environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with different deadlines, requiring effective time management, prioritization, and communication.

  • Effective and persuasive interpersonal communication skills.

  • Deep comfort with navigating, collecting, analyzing, reporting, and making decisions on data.

  • An ability and passion for writing clearly, compellingly, and concisely for external audiences.

  • Empathy for internal Red Hat stakeholders and potential/existing Red Hat partners.

  • A highly collaborative nature.

  • An ability to make and move forward with decisions.

  • A passion for continuous content optimization.

  • Comfort with change, including those brought about internally within the company or externally by market forces.

  • A commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities that exist for potential/existing Red Hat partners in an evolving landscape that includes artificial intelligence, virtualization, edge computing, and other emerging technologies.
