The Senior Content Developer for i-Ready professional learning is charged with making sound content and creative decisions and offering solutions that will impact educator practice. In collaboration with the AVP, PL Portfolio and the Content Manager for i-Ready, the i-Ready strategy team, and the digital content team, you’ll maintain a coherent scope and sequence for i-Ready professional learning offerings, define plans for future content development, and author content to support teachers, leaders, and coaches in enhancing their practices and implementing the program successfully.
This position may also be called upon to assist others in the organization with special projects, including designing internal training and supporting the i-Ready product teams as needed. The role is collaborative and strategic yet highly task and detail oriented. Excellent writing skills are required.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
Research, write, review, and develop high-quality professional learning for on-site and online delivery that strengthens product implementations and impacts educator practice
Regularly collaborate with strategy team, program management, product development, professional learning (PL) specialists, digital content team and outside experts to conceptualize professional learning topics
Consider the broad scope of content and support to determine the best learning progression and delivery mechanisms for new content as well as refinement to existing content
Brainstorm innovative methods for digital content delivery alongside instructional designers to enhance educator’s access to point of use support within the program
Analyze and apply best practices in adult learning theory to professional learning, and current educational trends
Support Professional Learning Specialists in providing quality support to educators to ensure successful program implementation and student impact Design and deliver internal presentations as needed
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
5+ years developing on-site and online professional learning courses and support materials for K–8 educators
Exceptional ability to conceptualize, synthesize, and execute content for a variety of media types and audiences
Vast experience with presentation, workflow, and instructional design software (such as Zoom, Smartsheet, Workfront, Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe Acrobat)
Understanding of pedagogy for both K–8 students and adult learners
Proven experience working with technology-based assessment and instruction
Ability to identify possible challenges and find solutions through thoughtful inquiry
Proven experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and independently
Receptivity to feedback and iterating on work to ensure educators and students receive the best products possible
Extraordinary organizational, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of effective relationship management for successful collaboration between team members and with our thought partners
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to multiple constituencies, and meet established deadlines
Capacity to work remotely and maintain virtual team best practices
Required Education and Experience:
Prior school-based coaching experience and/or instructional design experience in the EdTech space
MS/MA in Education preferred
Travel: Less than once per month
Benefits and Pay Range:
This role’s range is $60,750-$99,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets.
At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
