Senior Compensation Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide analysis, design, implementation and administration of the  company’s compensation and incentive programs.  The Senior Compensation Analyst will report to the Compensation Manager, providing guidance to internal stakeholders on compensation philosophy, programs, and best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation Administration

  • Administers Sedgwick’s compensation philosophy, policies, processes and programs.  Ensures accurate and complete job descriptions for all company positions. 
  • Performs core compensation activities such as market analysis, salary grade assignment, job descriptions, FLSA classifications while ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness. Presents evaluation analysis to management and CR Business Partners. 
  • Completes in-depth analysis to support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepares compensation survey submissions conducted by third-party providers. Gathers data from compensation survey to assist in analysis of pricing and market trends.
  • Creates, maintains and audits compensation plans, job profiles, processes, and compensation data (including data loads) in the Workday system ensuring data integrity.
  • Plays a vital role in the annual merit and incentive cycle including system testing, administration training, reporting and communications.

Incentive Plan Administration

  • Partners with stakeholders in understanding new incentive plans, updating existing incentive plans, ensuring plan accuracy.
  • Responsible for the administration of the company’s incentive plans, which include utilizing the HRIS to set up and test new plans, working with payroll to ensure incentives are correctly coded, and working with CR Business Partners to ensure accurate eligibility. 

Company Support

  • Educates Colleague Resources and people leaders about compensation philosophy and programs.
  • Answers compensation related inquiries, interprets policies, and shares market best practice information as appropriate.
  • Participates in due diligence as it relates to compensation with mergers and acquisitions.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.  Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification a plus.

Experience

Six (6+) years of related experience to include interpreting policy and analyzing data or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Experience with Workday preferred.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is (74,228.00 - 103,920.00 - 133,612.00 USD Annual).
