Responsibilities
We are looking for a results-driven Senior Communications Manager to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team focused on driving innovation, hiring and growth across Engineering at Atlassian. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Communications, Engineering. As a key member of this dynamic group, you will be responsible for managing internal communications that help Atlassian employees around the world stay informed, feel connected, and share a sense of purpose. We need your expertise to build a world-class organization and work environment by providing clear, thoughtful ways of connecting Atlassian's with the information they need to know.
What you'll do
Lead communications for the CTO Strategic Initiatives group. This includes owning the strategy and internal communications programs and projects that influence, educate and inform employees across all geographies.
Responsible for building and maintaining internal communications assets, driving adoption within the team to promote consistency across all related communications.
Build a roadmap of messaging using multiple channels, from blogging and other digital comms to face-to-face sessions and small informal meetings.
Serve as a strategic advisor who creates a unified voice and common messaging for the CTO Strategic Initiatives group and collaborates well across the Engineering business.
Create a metrics-based and sustainable communications plan that has the flexibility to pivot with the business.
Demonstrates judgment and discretion when dealing with highly-sensitive information and data.
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years in communications, marketing or similar role
Experience in establishing portfolio level communication strategy that spans across multiple programs.
Ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across different cross functional organizations like Engineering, Legal and PR to drive consensus on communications.
Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to business-driven changes.
Creative and copy judgment, with a keen eye for detail.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $175,500 - $234,000
Zone B: $158,000 - $210,600
Zone C: $145,700 - $194,200
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
