Senior Communications & Engagement Manager

We are looking for a Senior Communications & Engagement Manager to join an all-star GTM leadership team. Reporting to the CRO, this role will focus on building and executing the Communications and Engagement strategy for the Global Sales and Go-To Market team. The successful candidate will bring 8-12 years of industry experience, with a combination of roles in the Communications, Engagement, Program Management space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the communications for the office of the CRO; develop and execute exceptional content and communications targeted to employees and internal C-Suite executives
  • Design the communications and engagement strategy to strengthen the GTM organizational vision and overall culture
  • Develop an operational rhythm to execute the strategy
  • Monitor, track and report key communications KPIs and quarterly business and program analytics 
  • Co-design and co-lead highly engaging leadership and/or employee gatherings and events 
  • Amplify Sumo Logic customer stories 
  • Collaborate with leadership across all teams and functions at various levels representing GTM in key communications, branding, events and engagement programs
  • Act as a consultative resource to peers and team members, helping the GTM function with well-crafted communications, event management, engagement and brand campaigns internally 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product Management, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Strategic Alliances, Engineering, and Customer Success and Human Resources.

  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity and flexibility to get things done 
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership
  • Proactive and proven ability to adapt well and work with distributed teams
  • Experience delivering data, reports and QBRs and has comfort with data analytics to help drive insights, decisions and impact
  • Highly creative but with a pragmatic focus on getting the right amount of activity done, to solve the most immediate high impact opportunities
  • Has worked extensively with peer or senior level stakeholders - senior management, VPs, C-level executives
  • 10-12 years experience in a combination of roles in the Communications, Engagement, Program Management space.
  • BA or related degree in marketing, communications and/or public relations is ideal but  not a must

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary for this position is $164,000 - $200,000. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience.
