What’s in Store 

We're on the lookout for a Senior Claim Adjuster. As a Senior Claim Adjuster you will investigate diverse claims, provide time reports, conduct thorough diary reviews, manage litigation and maintain excellent organizational skills.

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess high level attention to detail and problem-solving skills, be self-disciplined and display a high-level of personal motivation, and demonstrate superb communication skills, verbal and written, conducted in a timely manner. You must have at least 3 years of experience handling premise liability, property damage, bodily injury, and litigated claims. Additionally, you will need to be capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision and display superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines. 


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 150 claim files, with multiple claimants, pertaining to municipal operations liability  
  • Regularly review and adjust reserves with varied exposures for property damage and/or bodily injury claims
  • Adjudicate claims in an expeditious manner
  • Set and maintain diaries
  • Complete client reporting in a timely manner
  • Document all correspondence, reports, discussions, and decisions in the claims system
  • Display superior report and letter writing skills
  • Notify management of any situation which may affect the underlying claim

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

This role is a full-time remote position with the ideal candidate residing in Oklahoma.

 

Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities

  • College degree and insurance certifications are preferred
  • At least three (3) years liability experience, preferably in premises liability, bodily injury, auto and property 
  • Preferred adjusters license for OK or TX
  • Advanced experience and knowledge in the following:
    1. Liability Insurance Policies 
    2. Self-insured retention (SIR) 
    3. Excess policies 
    4. Tiered Deductibles 
    5. Proper reserving, excess carrier reporting and notice, reservation of rights letters. 
    6. Client and account management. 
    7. Client and claims reporting 
  • Third-party administrator (TPA) experience strongly desired 
  • Experience handling claims for municipalities strongly desired  
  • Proficient knowledge of claims operations platforms, Microsoft Office  
  • Desired insurance certification: AIC, AIM, ARM, CPCU
