Senior AWS DataOps Engineer - REMOTE

We currently have a career opportunity for a hands-on AWS DataOps Engineer to join our team. While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the continental United States.

Job Overview:

Perficient is seeking an experienced AWS DataOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust cloud-based solutions and big data workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, big data technologies, and infrastructure as code.

• Cloud Services: Design, build, and manage data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Athena, Redshift, S3, SNS, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions.
• Big Data: Develop and maintain big data workflows using PySpark and Airflow.
• Programming: Write and maintain code in Python and SQL to support data processing and analysis.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in cloud and big data engineering.
• Proficiency in AWS services (Glue, Athena, Redshift, S3, SNS, Lambda, SQS, Step Functions).
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as PySpark and Airflow.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty).
