Audiology & Education Manager
Purpose of role: The Audiology and Education Manager for Unitron US will develop and conduct audiological and product training for internal and external customers (including private label), coach and mentor Regional Trainers, support the go-to-market plan through clinical activities, and act as a liaison to clinical field employees between Sales and Marketing. To succeed in this role, one will collaborate heavily with sales leadership, Research and Development, and both global and US marketing teams.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Onboard new Training and Sales field team members in coordination with the commercial field sales training manager.
- Develop and conduct product, audiological, and campaign[1]driven internal trainings for Sales and Marketing colleagues
- Develop, lead, and support customer educational opportunities in the field, online, and in marketing activities.
- Develop, plan and execute the creation of audiological content that supports the commercial business and our audiology standing. This can include project differentiation, competitive marketing, and the translation of research reports/benchmark results/competitive intelligence into marketing products that can be deployed by the field teams or leveraged directly to customers.
- Develop and execute audiology messaging from general thought leadership to specific product-related content (internal and external)
- Work closely with the HQ Marketing teams to create and execute compelling initiatives related to product marketing including BtB and BtC collateral
- Collaborate with HQ Audiology teams to create and execute training materials and messages about the audiologic benefits of Unitron products for BtB and BtC
- Contribute to the creation of audiology messages within the marketing calendar (SoMe, publications, industry events)
- Serve as liaison between in-field clinical trainers and audiology department for clinical support and standardization of clinical training experience.
- Onboard new Training and Sales field team members in coordination with the commercial field sales training manager.
- Develop and conduct product, audiological, and campaign-driven internal trainings for Sales and Marketing colleagues
- Develop, lead, and support customer educational opportunities in the field, online, and in marketing activities.
- Foster meaningful relationships within the professional audiology community
- Other duties as assigned
- Some travel required
Education and Skillset:
- Advanced audiology degree including Aud or PhD required
- Minimum 3-5 years’ industry related experience in marketing, sales, or training
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong critical and creative thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly collaborative with internal teams locally and around the globe
- Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and the simplify messaging when necessary
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Engaging presentation and selling skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to create multi-media content and support materials that are effective for adult learners
- Broad interest and understanding of audiology and related fields
- Maintains a vast and up to date knowledge of new learnings/ trends/ research findings in audiology
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
