The Asset-based Lending Senior Business Development Officer’s (ABL SR BDO)  primary purpose is to identify, develop, and assist in closing of high-quality, asset-based lending transactions for CIBC. In addition, the ABL SR BDO will further develop CIBC’s presence in the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, by working in tandem with our current CIBC product offerings consisting of commercial banking, capital markets, wealth management, and commercial real estate. The ABL SR BDO will continue our efforts as a relationship-focused team to deliver new clients to CIBC through calling on third party financial intermediaries/advisors, internal referral sources, direct calling to middle market prospects, and financial sponsors.  

The target client includes middle-market, entrepreneur-led/privately-held companies, publicly-traded prospects, and financially-sponsored businesses with financing needs generally in the $10MM to $75MM range, with further syndication capabilities in excess of $75MM. The ABL BDO is expected to work closely with our ABL Underwriting team to assess new opportunities which ultimately lead to new clients of the Bank.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $200,000.00 - $260,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
