The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel drives the software-defined transformation of the world's infrastructure - in data centers, in networks, and at the edge. We are a team of problem solvers, experimenters, and innovators who are dedicated to designing the network technologies that currently lead and continue to transform data-center and AI ecosystems.

The Segment Manager:

  • Supports the development and execution of business and technology strategies that aid short and long term growth for business unit(s).
  • Helps determine plausible targets and define the strategic roadmap to achieve those targets.
  • Aligns business unit goals, processes, and resource allocation with the technology strategy.
  • Shapes the role of technology in business strategies to capture favorable market share.
  • Identifies value creation opportunities based on detailed assessment and analysis of current technology footprint.
  • Conducts market research and benchmarks organization's business performance.
  • Tracks key market trends and benchmarks competitors to propose recommendations and next steps.
  • Builds business cases and review documents via high quality longform written narratives and secures buy in of senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Works with project/cross functional teams and ensures that all agreed technology strategy projects are progressing and delivering desired results on time and in budget.
  • Supports the creation of well articulated thought leadership assets that present innovative insight, knowledge, guidance, and recommendations on a specific market relevant technology strategy.
  • Leverages technical, business, and organizational acumen, and networking capabilities, to engage at a high level and influence critical decisions including product and technology direction and the championing of new systems.
  • Drives business unit's priorities and perspectives, engages with customers and co travelers to influence and communicate the business unit's vision.
  • Interacts with technologists across Intel, and within the industry, to evaluate feasibility of requirements, determine priorities for development, and connects with customers to communicate Intel Architecture solutions and identify customer gaps to set business and engineering direction.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical knowledge and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a customer facing role working in software or hardware technology products, such as product management, product marketing, segment strategy and marketing, or technical sales.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical knowledge and 8+ years experience. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Prior product management and/or segment management/strategy experience
  • Understanding of 5G 3GPP architecture, specifications, requirements, and experience with Cloud computing, containerization technologies/Kubernetes, virtualized/software-defined networking
  • Background in both technical and business leadership
  • Experience working with / knowledge of Communications Service Provider infrastructure, networking technologies and ecosystem
  • Understanding of various hardware platform and Cloud software solution stacks including compute, orchestration, infrastructure management, security as well as storage, packet processing / networking solutions
  • Experience working with/ knowledge of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies, applications and use cases.

CAD 120,000.00-179,900.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
