The Role
The Deckers Scrum Master is facilitator, mentor, coach and educator on agile principles, values and Deckers System of Delivery. As a servant leader, the Scrum Master will serve as a consultant to improve team efficiencies and effectiveness for optimal performance. They are responsible for facilitating discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution; Support the Product Owner in working with stakeholders and teams with maintaining the product backlog and ensuring value delivery. The Scrum Mater will assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and dissemination of information. The Scrum Master will assess the business agility maturity of the team and organization through software metrics and key performance indicators while also coaching teams to higher levels of business agility maturity, at a pace that is both sustainable and measurable for the teams and organization.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
Serve as an agile coach, mentor, educator and facilitator for product teams and business stakeholders Establish and promote the agile principles, agile values and agile methodologies Manage cross functional teams to deliver value to meet business goals and objectives Partner with the Product Owner to communicate and collaborate with key product team members and stakeholders (decision makers) on product backlogs Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder team effectiveness Monitor and report on team KPIs to improve team efficiencies and health for optimal value delivery Foster a collaborative environment to establish trust, encourage open communication and feedback for continuous improvement
Who You Are
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Lean, Scrum and Kanban
- Experienced in coaching, mentoring, facilitating teams through ambiguity to deliver value
- Driven to continuous improvement
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal and presentation skills
We’d love to hear from people with
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent related work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, JIRA, Confluence and visual diagramming tools (Lucid/Miro)
- 5+ years in Agile Methodologies and frameworks such as Lean, Scrum and Kanban
- 5+ years as a certified Scrum Master and/or Agile Coach
- 2+ years in Project Management experience
- 2+ years in a Technology organization

$110,000 - $120,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
