Job Summary (Job Brief)

Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating and coaching a team through the Scrum framework, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and best practices. This business Scrum Master will support the commercial onboarding (COS) and servicing team, playing a crucial role in guiding business scrum teams in the use of Jira, retrospectives, and other Agile tools and cadences.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS ​

• Guide and coach the Scrum team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services.
• Understand the business model and the project's impact on business strategy.
• Work autonomously and demonstrate solid leadership competencies.
• Organize and lead cross-functional team members towards common outcomes and execution.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze and solve complex problems.
• Take initiative to facilitate planning and execute assigned tasks.
• Ensure squads are tracking and reporting daily activities.
• Meet project budget, schedule, scope, and risk targets.
• Understand business model and project impact on business strategy.
• Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Effectively communicate project vision and impact on business strategy.
• Assess and coach team members on strengths and developmental needs.
• Foster and encourage open and honest feedback.
• Learn from feedback to drive personal improvement.
• Identify and assess risks and issues.
• Perform impact analysis and prioritization.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize risks and issues, managing them to resolution by removing impediments.
• Provide effective reporting on impact and status, focusing on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely completion of all risk related training and adhere to risk policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of Scrum Master delivery experience,
• 2+ years of agile project experience.

Required Skills

• Experience managing multiple agile squads.
• Master user of JIRA/JIRA ALIGN (Atlassian products).
• Organized and able to lead cross-functional team members towards common outcomes and execution.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to and experience with commercial products.
• Experience with report querying and monitoring Agile performance
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) Certification preferred, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification plus 3 years of experience or Project Management Professional (PMP)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $110,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
