Collins Aerospace is seeking a Scrum Master to join our Digital Operations team within the Aerostructures Group (ASG). The Digital Operations team is dedicated to advancing Industry 4.0 initiatives to enhance business systems and process improvements for ASG. Scrum Master will facilitate and support the Scrum process for our development teams. They will work closely with the Product Owner and the team to ensure clear communication and understanding of goals, product backlog, and product development states. The Scrum Master will also help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement backlog, and product development stages. The Scrum Master is responsible for measuring and driving CORE/CI progression within their direct teams.

What YOU will do

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, product backlog grooming, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Track and communicate team metrics and progress to stakeholders
  • Help the team maintain their Scrum tools (backlog, sprint boards, metrics, etc.)
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel or resources to resolve issues
  • Support the team’s implementation of JIRA to tailor it to the specific processes and workflows for issue tracking
  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver high-quality products
  • Assist the Product Owner with managing the product backlog and sprint backlog
  • Support continuous improvement/CORE requirements as applicable
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally


What YOU will learn

  • Gain a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework, including roles, events, and artifacts involved
  • Gain experience in facilitating complex projects involving software engineering, data science, and Industry 4.0
  • Develop skills in team building, conflict resolution, and servant leadership, helping the team to work more effectively and collaboratively

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Qualifications you must have

Skills we value

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum, Lean Kanban and Project management fundamentals
  • Experience in project management tools (e.g. JIRA and/or Azure DevOps)
  • Certification in Scrum master role (CSM or similar) is a plus
  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in software development environment is beneficial
  • Aerospace Manufacturing or other highly matrixed organization

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
