To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed below, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications.  In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).
About the role
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and sales acumen. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate the value of complex technical solutions to potential clients. The Sales Engineer collaborates closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, provide technical demonstrations, and offer tailored solutions that address client requirements. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth by effectively positioning the company's products or services within the marketplace. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Technical Consultation: Provide expert-level technical guidance to customers regarding the company's products or services. Understand client requirements and propose appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, functionalities, and benefits of the company's offerings. Tailor demonstrations to address specific client pain points and use cases.
  • Pre-Sales/Join-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team throughout the pre-sales process, including participating in customer meetings, responding to technical queries, and assisting with proposal preparation as well as supporting a joint sales process and collaborating on the deal cycle
  • Solution Design: Work closely with customers to design customized solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives. Develop comprehensive proposals and technical documentation to support solution recommendations.
  • Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Coordinate and oversee the execution of proof-of-concept initiatives to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions. Provide technical guidance and support during POC implementation.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical decision-makers and influencers within client organizations. Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding their challenges and offering strategic insights.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to the company's product portfolio. Leverage market insights to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to communicate customer feedback, gather product insights, and ensure alignment between customer needs and product roadmap.
  • Training and Enablement: Conduct training sessions for internal sales teams to enhance their understanding of technical concepts, product features, and selling strategies. Provide ongoing support and enablement resources to empower sales representatives in their client interactions.
 Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role within the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts related to Armada's products or services including SaaS/PaaS and AI/ML, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications, such as CRM systems, presentation software, and technical documentation platforms.
