Cognitive Medical Systems is seeking a Sales Solutions Architect Architect to be responsible for leading the development of innovative and differentiating technical / engineering solutions for our Federal Government opportunities. The Principal Architect will collaborate with business development and strategy leaders to drive solutions for priority captures and proposals.  He/she will have demonstrated DoD, VA and HHS technology experience and credentials as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence cross functional teams.   

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the technology solution for new business opportunities by partnering with business development to learn the customer pain points and leverage technology to meet their requirements.
  • Lead the technical solution of the proposal response to include creating a Concept of Operation, best practices, and comparative market analysis. 
  • Collaborate with management and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities.
  • Develop business relationships with product companies and stay apprised of their technology to incorporate into our solution.
  • Articulate technology solutions via written form and participate in proposal writing as a part of the Business Development team.

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, electronical engineering or other engineering or technical disciplines. 
  • 10 years of relevant technical or engineering work experience .
  • 10 years minimum experience in complex, mission critical software systems is required.
  • Demonstrable experience providing technical leadership to large scale proposals and captures for Health programs in DoD, VA or HHS.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Ability to obtain a Government Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written modalities. 

Preferred Education, Experience, and Clearance:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a Technology, Engineering or Software field, and be a recognized technology leader (or equivalent experience) 
  • Prior technical roles within organizations of similar size and scope ($50M and 100 employees) with growing duties and responsibilities
  • Significant experience supporting capture activities to include chairing/participating in Business Opportunity Gate Reviews, writing specific sections of proposals, providing preliminary technical guidance for solutions, and task cost estimation.
  • A well-developed sense of strategy and the ability to communicate and inspire others to follow.
  • Subject matter expertise as a Java-based, open-source ecosystem, full stack developer with the ability to learn new programming languages with minimal time and effort to meet demands of new projects.
