Salary: $100k to $150k per year
Location: Remote or Hybrid role with some travel as needed
Technical Sales Manager Job Description:
The Technical Sales Manager role is perfect for individuals with a strong business development background and are looking to continue to grow and develop their leadership skills. During the first year there will be a focus on digging in, learning our business and being hands on. During this time, you will be on the frontline learning our business from the ground up spending time in our plants to gain the technical knowledge and skill to be able to provide valuable feedback and knowledge to our sales team as you continue to grow in this position. This role will also support our sales team and work with them to help grow and develop as well as communicate with people at all levels of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business development representatives across the northeast, ensuring their professional growth and development through clear performance expectations, regular feedback, and encouraging team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Use your technical skills to explain the benefits of our products and new developments or services to help coach new and existing salespeople.
- Act as a technical resource for less experienced salespeople.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and adjust strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in specific geographic areas and market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of our organization.
- Participate in semi-annual sales meetings.

Requirements- At least 5+ years of professional sales experience where prospecting was a large part of the role.
- Proven track record of managing and growing named accounts with complex sales cycles.
- At least 3+ years managing a sales team of at least 8 people in a leadership role.
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Demonstrate responsibility, and take a hands-on approach
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Computer Programs including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
- Ability to Travel
