POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Biotechnology is looking for a candidate to assume primary responsibility to lead a team of Flow Cytometry Instrumentation sales representatives covering the Midwest, Northeast and Mid Atlantic territories (4 Total).
This role requires experience leading a team with Capital Equipment Sales within the Academic, Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech industries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members, including field travel to customer sites and conferences.
Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction.
Manage team forecast pipeline and report regular updates through management team to ensure accuracy and alignment with finance and supply chain teams.
Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues.
Recruit, train, and mentor new sales team members.
Interface with Sr Leadership team to provide updates on sales progress and strategies including regular interactions with SBT CEO and Global Head of Sales
Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
