POSITION SUMMARY

Sony Biotechnology is looking for a candidate to assume primary responsibility to lead a team of Flow Cytometry Instrumentation sales representatives covering the Midwest, Northeast and Mid Atlantic territories (4 Total).

This role requires experience leading a team with Capital Equipment Sales within the Academic, Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech industries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage and lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans.

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members, including field travel to customer sites and conferences.

  • Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions.

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction.

  • Manage team forecast pipeline and report regular updates through management team to ensure accuracy and alignment with finance and supply chain teams.

  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor new sales team members.

  • Interface with Sr Leadership team to provide updates on sales progress and strategies including regular interactions with SBT CEO and Global Head of Sales

  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION  

Your qualifications and experience should include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
