Key responsibilities for this role include:
Meets and exceeds the corporate sales objectives for the region within an assigned geography
Effectively coaches and leads the strategic brand execution products as the portfolio grows.
Drives performance of the brand portfolio
Ensures the basic selling and business acumen fundamentals are delivered against brand objectives.
Effectively demonstrates company culture norms through actions, leadership style, and collaboration with partners.
Effectively assesses the development needs of the region, both at the District and Sales Representative levels, and provides appropriate, individualized development opportunities
Provides strong Commercial leadership, espousing the values and the vision of Oyster Point Pharma
Effectively drives performance of the region, while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards
Deploys the sales force in accordance with the sales plan to maximize productivity consistent with corporate objectives of promoted products.
Manages resources based on potential and opportunity for growth
Provides strategic insight to internal partners in brand, operations, and sales leadership. Acts as leader for strategic sales initiatives and special assignments on a regular basis.
Acts as a partner to the head of Sales to look at the business overall and propose initiatives/strategy to address opportunities and challenges.
Meets and exceeds the corporate sales objectives. This includes, but is not limited to the successful development of personnel, along with selecting the best talent for open positions. Creates an atmosphere of bottom up decision making, allowing for advantages business guess in local marketplaces.
Effectively assesses the development needs of the region and initiates activity that is in accordance with people development.
Consults with heads of Sales, HR and Legal on all personnel performance issues.
Consults with sales training on all training needs of the region.
Advises, consults and coordinates regularly with external customers, as well as with the field personnel, direct reports, management peers, and other internal partners (medical affairs, marketing, managed care, sales training, professional education, etc.)

Business acumen (strategic thinking/planning, analyzing/diagnosing, external perspective, accelerating change)
Supporting regulatory environment
Coaching & developing future talent (identifying and developing talent, providing feedback)

Working effectively with others (builds rapport, collaboration/teamwork, organizational savvy, energizing and engaging
Strategic decision making: Leading through business and people challenges and making effective decisions through complex situations.
Problem solving
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
Minimum 5 years sales management experience
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as pharmaceutical representative with proven track record in all respects of selling, i.e. technical knowledge, selling techniques, understanding of medical field, etc
Experience leading leaders (front line sales managers) strongly preferred
Eye care/Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
Extensive travel required.
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $151,000 - $314,000.
