The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the optical industry, including prescription optical products and optical retail sales.RL Global Sales Operations - Sales Optician Lead Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to support optician services and Rx sales across multiple sales channels and business areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance the customer Rx buying experience, minimize friction, and optimize Rx ordering processes.
- Support the development of Rx sales capabilities and technology to support product demos, Rx ordering, and manufacturing
- Develop and review product content, including copy, instructions, FAQs, educational guides, and other materials to inform and educate consumers about Rx products and their eyewear needs.
- Assist in developing training programs for opticians, customer service representatives, and other stakeholders and provide expert opinions and input to help resolve customer issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient optician processes and procedures across all sales channels, ensuring compliance with Rx selling requirements and industry standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on state-level dispensing requirements and best practices ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards for prescription eyewear.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in opticianry, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
- 7+ years of experience in optical industry operations, with experience in optical sales and prescription products
- Licensed Optician with extensive experience in managing sales and optician services within optical practices and/or optical retail locations
- Experience training and developing staff in optical sales, prescription products, and optician services.
- Experience implementing Rx specific compliance requirements and regulatory standards
- Communication and collaboration skills, and experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working independently and adapting in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience establishing business operations in a healthcare setting
