As a Retirement Benefits Services Specialist, you'll be the key contact for clients, managing annuity contracts and ensuring all processes are handled efficiently. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Hourly Wage: $23.00-$24.00 per hour, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external client communications related to assigned annuity contracts across multiple product lines, ensuring timely and accurate management.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve issues in annuity administration, including setup, lump sum payments, death processing, overpayment recovery, and compliance concerns.
  • Interpret and apply annuity certificate provisions for early retirement, disability, and death benefits, working with underwriting and compliance teams to address complex issues.
  • Manage updates to the Comprehensive Pension Administration System (COMPAS) and related systems to meet client expectations, including processing initial checks and updating financial information.
  • Research and set up federal and state income tax reporting information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven customer service experience including phone queue skills, with excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meet stringent deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong expertise in the insurance industry.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to demonstrate creativity, diplomacy, and initiative in decision-making.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  •   Previous annuity experience, and understanding of federal, state, and business regulations impacting annuity administration.
