Research Assistant

Salary/Position Classification

• $20.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10 hours per week

Purpose of Position

Support fieldwork in the summer to collect ground truth data within North Dakota and process fieldwork data for further data analyses and/or to support mapping and conducting spatial data analysis and spatial data presentation for research outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support fieldwork in the summer to collect ground truth data within North Dakota.
• Process fieldwork data for further data analyses.
• Support mapping and conducting spatial data analysis and spatial data presentation for research outcomes.

Required Competencies

• Attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good Communication Skills.
• An interest in Bee Studies.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate education in Earth System Science and Policy, Geography, or related field.
• Experience with Geospartial Analyses.
• Experience with ArcGIS, Python, and R programming languages.

• Current or former ESSP Student or Geography Student.
