Our client, a food service management company known for its innovative and people-focused approach, is seeking a Vice President of Procurement to join their remote, US-based team. You will lead the organization's expansion by driving excellence in procurement for scratch-cooked food programs. Our client is looking for someone well-versed in the contract food service management industry, specifically in the K-12 and higher education vertical, who has established relationships with suppliers and distributors and considers themselves an expert at negotiations, cost-savings, and rebate optimization. [Remote] Vice President of Procurement Responsibilities
• Lead the procurement function on all levels
• Drive supply chain performance optimization
• Cultivate relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and distributors
• Identify new strategic partnerships to enhance product quality
• Minimize costs of ownership
• Utilize data to manage KPIs
• Identify cost-savings and areas of improvement
• Translate sales forecast and menu trends into a demand plan
• Monitor stock levels
• Identify purchasing needs
• Manage direct reports (1) and foster a culture of continuous improvement
[Remote] Vice President of Procurement Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 10+ years of supply chain and procurement experience required
• 5+ years of K-12 or Higher Ed contract food service procurement experience required
• Rebate income optimization experience required
• Strong supplier negotiation experience required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
