Position Summary

This West coast based position (Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area, CA), is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the training department procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Successful attainment of the sales plan for their designated Region
•    Coordination of Sales Representatives’ activities in assigned sales territories
•    Manage all Regional sales expenses within assigned budget
•    Monitor Sales Representative performance to Quota on a weekly, monthly, and annual format
•    Develop and maintain key relationships with GPO affiliates, and IDN networks in order to grow business
•    Assist Sales Representatives in identifying sales opportunities for assigned territories and product lines
•    Develop sales plans and strategies for individual territory activities
•    Aid Sales Representatives in preparation and presentation of RFP’s, bids, proposals, and product     evaluations
•    Hire, train and develop qualified Sales Representatives for Surgical Business Unit within Region
•    Maintain close key customer contacts to continually determine customer needs
•    Monitor Sales Representative pricing agreements to assure overall sales and profitability objectives
•    Assist Contract Sales and Contract Services Departments in preparation and presentation of contract     proposals
•    Support the Marketing Department activities; e.g. product pilots, VOC, and competitive intelligence
•    Recommend product enhancements/changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential
•    Represent the Company at trade shows, exhibitions, training courses, and symposiums
•    Develop and monitor Sales Representative sample accounts and T&E accounts
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree
•    5-7 years of proven sales experience in related environment
•    Sales management experience preferred

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Sales management experience preferred
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Valid Driver’s License
•    Basic proficiency in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

TRAVEL REQUIRED: 60 %

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $265,000.00 (inclusive of commissions) however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  Commissions will also vary depending on individual performance.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
 
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position,” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
