Regional Sales Manager (Northeast)

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the sale of the organization's products in the Northeastern US. This position will provide ongoing support to product distribution channel. This position will have primary responsibility for residential unitary and ductless HVAC products, with additional responsibility for manufactured housing products sold in the market.
This position will serve our Nordyne Division and be located in the Northeast Region (NJ, NY, PA, MD, MA, CT, NH, RI, VA).
Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a Distribution Channel in specific region or geographical area(s).
- Assists Distributors with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning, and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Become actively involved in new Distributor’s sales orientation and sales training programs; assist distributors with contract negotiations, closing the sales and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Assist with the planning of sales exhibits, attend trade shows, and participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs. Coordinate and assist in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
- Remain current on new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers. Explore competitive activity and develop new methods for assisting distributors in attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoot problems regarding products, answer questions from distributors and handle complaints.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of sales experience in the HVAC markets
- Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
- Experience managing large territories and diverse product offerings.
- Self-management; work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Fanatical focus on the customer; proven success in developing and fostering business relationships.
- Travel is expected to be 50%.
Preferred:
- Experience utilizing sale tools such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRMs
Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement above minimum job requirements. The pay scale for this position in New York or Connecticut is $108,000 - $172,692. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated, and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
