BASF's Care Chemical business is seeking a strong professional like you with demonstrated experience in sales or sales-related activities to perform the role of a Global Key Account Manager.  In this role, you will focus on large strategic accounts within the Personal Care organization, with significant global account coordination and collaboration. You will play a key role in leading the strategic planning process and growth plan for selected strategic accounts.

 

The position is the ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to develop and implement business strategies in a diverse business environment. You will be expected to be the main communicator to customers for the North American region. 

As a Regional Key Account Manager, Personal Care, You Create Chemistry By...

 

  • Demonstrating your excellent customer orientation as you develop and maintain strong relationships with key commercial and technical customer representatives to understand their needs (known and unmet) and have frequent face-to-face interactions to promote our offers and outperform the competition. 
  • Your strong business acumen as you take the lead in the regional Key Account strategic planning process, including the generation, implementation, and execution of the strategic account plan to deliver above-market growth. 
  • Using your proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop appropriate strategies to deliver sales results, you will manage and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of sales opportunities.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to support your accounts, leveraging and managing available resources to work with customers for business development. You will also serve as the key contact for problem escalation and resolution with the customer. 
  • Your strong negotiation skills will serve you well as you lead complex negotiations. Your keen attention to detail will aid you in monitoring results and critical KPIs to identify opportunities for account growth and expansion.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (approximately bi-monthly) to engage with customers face-to-face

  • Having earned a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Economics,  Business Administration, Marketing, Science or related field with several years of relevant professional experience in Global Key Account Management, technical sales, or related customer-facing experiences in the Personal Care industry.
  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of customer and market intelligence as well as experience with pricing and customer relationship management (CRM) in creating sales concepts coupled with strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to identify and execute new business opportunities.
  • Excellence in communication, negotiation, planning and interpersonal skills.

Pay Transparency

 

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
