As the Master Trainer you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive training and education plan that effectively provides the field team with the skills and knowledge to support our brand’s products and services, ultimately leading to increased sales at retail for our client’s products. This includes identifying training opportunities and developing sales and product training content, improving existing training content and setting strategy for how to make content impactful and useful for the field team. This person will work closely with the NFM and program leaders to understand the goals of our client, and how to support those goals through training and education. This person will be responsible for proving existing and new sales representatives with various levels of experience and knowledge with the tools, skills and knowledge they need to be effective in the retail sales environment to drive sales of products powered by our clients’ technology. You should have deep experience in technology, have a demonstrated passion for teaching and preferably past retail experience. You should be very comfortable speaking in front of groups and giving presentations both in person and virtually.

$75K-$85K with bonus potential

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Influence sales teams and change hearts and minds 
  • Create and maintain an extensive program training roadmap that aligns to BDS and client priorities and key moments
  • Develop new training content and modify current materials that are relevant and useful to the field team’s objectives
  • Own the strategy of how training content is delivered to the field with an in-depth knowledge of teaching methods
  • Build relationships with Field and Account Leadership to understand client priorities and align training to these goals
  • Conduct store visits to gain insight into how training comes to life at retail, identify gaps, and understand the business needs of the front line
  • Create professional training videos and job aides that help drive knowledge
  • Must be able to receive creative and specific feedback to content developed and make necessary revisions in order to align with the specific needs of the field team
  • Provide project time estimates and maintain a project calendar
  • Conduct virtual and in person training meetings
  • Periodically travel to tradeshows or other events to deliver training on behalf of the brand
  • Partner with the Learning Design team to upload new training modules and assign trainings
  • Participate in weekly conference calls
  • Develop presentation decks for client report outs as needed
  • Create weekly training spotlight/program newsletter
  • Other functions as requested by management

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Experience and Education: 

  • Preferred 5+ years experience in Sales, Training and Education in the Consumer Electronics and/or retail industry, or adjacent fields or Preferred 3+ years experience in Corporate, Retail Training or similar experience with in-depth knowledge of teaching method
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, organizational, strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to work through varied issues with integrity, honesty and in a candid, straightforward manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt to changes and respond supportively in working with various time frames, circumstances, and people
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Strong proficient in MS Office suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate projects with various departments and agency staff members
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time which may also require overnight and off-hour work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with video editing software
  • Professional demeanor
  • Self-initiative and ability to work remotely
