The NISC IV program is seeking a Project Manager that can support our valued customer at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Project Manager/Staff Advisor will play a crucial role in driving project management, communications, and special initiatives within the FAA Office of Human Resource Management’s (AHR) Front Office (FO). This position requires a highly organized and experienced individual to provide strategic guidance and operational support to the FAA’s Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management (AHR-1), Deputy Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management (AHR-2), and the AHR Chief of Staff across various functional areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the AHR FO in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope statements, stakeholder identification, work breakdown structures, and project schedules. 
  • Establish metrics and methodologies for tracking project progress and success. 
  • Consolidate and maintain an overall project schedule, ensuring alignment and coordination across multiple projects. 
  • Facilitate project closeout procedures, documenting lessons learned and ensuring proper project closure. 
  • Coordinate with AHR FO to create, implement, and maintain an intake process for correspondence and other deliverables. 
  •  Create templates and support standardization of deliverables/packages that come to the AHR FO and advise requesters on proper usage. 
  • Initiate initial review of packages and ensure they align with the AHR FO process and return them to the originating office/subject matter expert to work to completion. 
  • Support the implementation and tracking of packages and deliverables to support timely review by AHR FO 
     

Communications:

  • Develop and execute a strategic communication plan for AHR-1/AHR-2 internal messaging to the AHR workforce.
  • Draft and vet AHR-1/AHR-2 messaging to AHR workforce.
  • Develop, draft, and track AHR-1 personal messages to recognize AHR workforce and other stakeholder significant events such as retirements, condolence, congratulations, and appreciation.
  • Create executive briefings and reports compilation and presentation decks.
  • Support FO SOP development and presentations.
  • Serve as executive speechwriter for AHR-1 and AHR-2 engagements.

Additional Duties:

  • Support the implementation of AHR FO employee engagement plan and activities to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of AHR Operational Plan(s) initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 -15 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience. Year of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree. HR experience is required
