Job Overview 

Davies North America is looking for an experienced Project Manager with legal entity consolidation/rationalization experience to join our Transformation Team.   Reporting to the Program Lead, you will work closely with key stakeholders to manage the delivery of a series of individual sub-projects under the collective banner of consolidating US legal entities to a viable minimum, in accordance with a strategic plan as set out by the Chief Transformation Officer and Davies US Executive Team.  You will help move the business towards a cleaner and more efficient corporate structure from its present position of over a dozen legal entities acquired through acquisitions by analyzing each entity’s individual considerations in scope; afterwards projects will move through resourcing, budgeting, planning and implementation stages on a predetermined phased basis.  Projects are centrally managed via the Group Business Transformation Team that pull in project delivery resources from Group IT Projects Teams. There will be a mixture of projects including IT integrations of acquired businesses, strategic IT Projects, and various requests from across the Group; projects are open ended and additional entities will come into scope through continuous expansion of the US business.  

 

To be successful in this role, you need to possess strong project management skillset in a transformation focused environment via PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent and ideally have prior experience integrating business structures, systems, and processes in a post-acquisition setting along with experience in project delivery in predictive, Agile, and hybrid environments.  You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, strongly preferred in a complex corporate environment and must have prior legal entity consolidation/rationalization experience.  Additionally, you will be required to work collaboratively with teammates globally across the Group, with various suppliers and outsourcers to achieve and fulfill objectives while working in a fast-paced environment that can be uncertain at times due to the continuous evolvement of the business.  This is a full-time, home-based position that requires a willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and manage legal entity consolidation project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, tax, operations) to assess consolidation feasibility and identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal, tax, and regulatory implications for each entity involved in the consolidation
  • Develop and implement a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee the implementation of consolidation activities, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Track project progress and performance against established metrics, reporting regularly to key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency post-consolidation
  • Lead and maintain communications between the Transformation team, delivery team, operational teams, wider Group stakeholders and other third parties
  • Support the Delivery team to continuously improve methodology, approach, practice, and delivery where required

Experience and Qualifications


Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a complex corporate environment
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Prior experience with and strong understanding of legal entity structures and consolidation processes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management, MS Project, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Capable of working independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong ability to produce high-quality deliverables, including but not limited to project plans, reports, and presentations
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, as needed

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.  While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk.  This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
