The Project Coordinator for Physician Leadership and Learning leads the strategic alignment and distribution of resources between multiple programs across the JCCs that focus on the development of physician leadership and advanced quality improvement. With a key focus on cross-committee collaboration, this role develops and contributes to the implementation of work plans to align physician-focused development opportunities and drive program success. In addition to drafting program communications and collaborating with vendors to plan training and skill development opportunities, this role is the primary point of contact for UBC Sauder Physician Leadership Program (PLP) cohorts and provides secretariat support for the PLP advisory board. This role oversees the JCC Physician Leadership Scholarship Program (PLSP), reviewing program data to stay ahead of leadership development trends, developing and supporting the implementation of program improvements, and ensuring program operations remain within a fixed fiscal budget.
The coordinator works with multiple key partners, including varying levels of Health Authority representatives and subject matter experts, as well as teams across the JCCs, to ensure the smooth execution of physician learning programs.
In addition to operations, the Project Coordinator is responsible for partner engagement and reporting. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly and as-needed reports to various committees and health authority leaders, including VPs of Medicine. The coordinator also leads the negotiation of group discounts for large-scale global events, where the PLSP supports participation. Regular written and virtual communications with partners, such as HA and Physician Leaders, and global event organizers will be required, along with the development and presentation of program improvement recommendations to the PLSPs physician advisory group.
