Program Finance Analyst, Principal

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Program Finance Analyst, Principal to support programs in the Airborne Systems Business Area. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of several programs. This is a critical role where you will work alongside the F&BO Manager in the development and all aspects of financial accounting, including the Annual Operation Planning (AOP) and financial forecasting for the program. 

With oversight by the Project Control Manager and EVMS Leads, you will support the project team members in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. You will leverage your previous experience and hands-on leadership in the development, maintenance, and/or tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and related dictionaries, the Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), Control Accounts, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB), change management process, work authorization process, subcontractor management, material control, cost collection, technical performance, integrated reporting, forecasting Estimates at Completion (EACs), and implementing corrective actions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• EAC management, budgeting, forecasting, managing subcontractor hours, costs, and funding needs, as well as analysis of all contract cost and financial data.
• Setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Cobra and PMX, processing baseline change requests (BCRs), generating IPMRs (Formats 1 – 5 and 7), maintaining contract budget baseline (CBB) log, setting up and maintaining projects in Winsight, calculating best case/most likely/worst case EACs, and supporting joint surveillance reviews (JSRs) with DCMA.
• Develop and drive financial forecasts and analyze the program’s revenue and costs
• Communicate key business insights and recommendations to achieve the program’s current and future goals and make specific recommendations that will result in cost reduction and profit/process improvements.
• Manage the month-end close process and perform variance/trend analyses as it relates to the financial performance.
• Provide data and reporting formats for all types and levels of program financial reviews. 
• Strong organization, analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Significant interface with the Program Managers, Contracts, FP&A, IT, Logistics, Procurement, Quality and other Support organizations. 
• Ability to work independently, in a team environment, with various organizational levels and manage multiple priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of program finance-related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform on EVM projects. 
• Strong understanding of cost and schedule development and controls. 
• Must have ability to analyze problems for root cause and identify corrective actions.
• Must possess a strong background working with multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts. 
• Requires strong Excel skills. 
• US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications​

• Knowledge of Leidos financial systems and applications, such as OAC, Fusion, Insight, Cost Point, and Cognos, PMX.  Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Some background in Power Query and scheduling preferred.
