  • This position is 100% remote and requires extensive travel.

  • Drive sales and product management team on new business development initiatives
  • Responsible for the sales targets defined by leadership
  • Evaluate and build technical solutions and pricing per the customer’s request for proposal (RFP), working closely with our Product Management & Engineering/Operations team. 
  • Maintain daily work records with accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide technical input and advice to management
  • Develop close working relationships with customers while increasing Customer Satisfaction.
  • Constantly communicate with customers to effectively analyze customers’ requirements and market needs and recommend existing services or develop new services to accommodate such needs.
  • Present UL MV/HV cable service portfolio to customers, discuss UL MV/HV services with customers and explain technical concepts.
  • Negotiate prices with customers.
  • The target annual pay range for this position is $210,000- $225,000 which includes a base salary of $140,000 - $150,000 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 50% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, marketing, or business.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, such as working with/for MV/HV or high-power laboratories, MV/HV cable manufacturers, power utilities, etc. Familiar with power transmission and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in related industrial and international standards for MV/HV cable systems, including but not limited to ICEA/AEIC, IEEE, IEC, and CIGRE standards, is a plus. 
  • Experience in sales or marketing positions, particularly with power utilities or in power transmission and distribution areas, is a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all internal and external customers and make formal presentations to people at all levels, both within and outside the company.
  • Willing to travel over 50-75% of the time.
