A Day in the LifeThe Product Solution Specialist provides primary support for order fulfillment and inventory activities while utilizing analytical and collaboration with the Operating Units. The individuals in this role have a solid understanding of systems and reporting used to complete inventory transactions and ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
With a focus on standard work across the organization, the Product Support Specialist may support multiple businesses. This role collaborates with departmental and cross-functional personnel to ensure critical processes are completed on-time with high quality. They are results oriented, seek continuous improvement and are adaptable to a changing work environment.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Supply Chain Daily Execution

  • Executes daily backorder management and par level variance reports, ships and releases product as appropriate
  • Updates and publishes reporting based on needs of the organization
  • Driver in daily shared work including running Winshuttles, reports, lot traces, completes add loss requests, updating TPS errors and alerts and general order management requests through a shared inbox.
  • Develops credibility, trust, and respect from internal and external customers and is viewed as a key resource for PSO order fulfillment expertise to accomplish inventory management goals and objectives
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives to streamline work across multiple divisions
  • Analysis and executes moves of expired inventory in the field to reduce obsolesces
  • Participation in standardization and increased efficiencies and automation.
  • Supports multiple Operating Units

Closing

  • Facilitates order release in partnership with Customer Service to ensure timely product shipment and patient /case needs are met
  • Utilizes influence management skills to negotiate with the field regarding the movement of product to meet case or fill from the field requirements
  • Able to work flexible schedule as business needs dictate

Cycle Counts

  • Executes field cycle count process in accordance with regulatory requirements, Medtronic corporate policies and BU Finance needs, including communication, escalation, research, reconciliation, transactions/adjustments, inquiries, analysis, and response to audits

Development

  • Meets deadlines and drives results; proactively communicates and resets expectations when timeline is not achievable
  • Possesses effective soft skills to facilitate dialogue to promote and drive action via multiple communication methods, i.e. reporting, email, phone call, etc.
  • Understands and adheres to FDA Regulations, quality and training requirements, SOPs, and Work Instructions—continually looking for opportunities to streamline and improve quality.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1+ years of Customer Service or Supply Chain experience


Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in English Language (Verbal and Written Communication)


Desired /Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of inventory, supply chain, or asset management knowledge
  • 2+ years proven customer service experience
  • ERP knowledge (e.g. SAP or Oracle)
  • Demonstrated systems experience (Excel, Access, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; Highly flexible to changing business needs
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to produce consistent, detail oriented, high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated negotiation/influence management skills--positively resolving conflict
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive action independently
  • Ability to execute logically, calmly, and efficiently in a chaotic and stressful environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of supply chain-related regulatory requirements and ability to assess current procedures and resolve gaps
  • Experience working in a regulated environment--ideally the medical device industry
  • Proactively drives results

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$47,200.00-$70,800.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
