The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for championing the positioning, marketing strategies, and commercial enablement of our product and solutions. This role involves analyzing market needs, defining buyer personas, crafting positioning, and creating content to deliver long-term revenue growth. Close collaboration with product management team on current features, future improvements and use cases, as well as with marketing communications on product launch and digital media campaigns is essential part of this role. 

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

 

Product Positioning and Go-to-market 

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Create robust product positioning and marketing strategies for products to meet revenue targets. 
  • Craft Messaging and Collateral: Develop clear and impactful messaging, product marketing materials, and enablement plans tailored to target segments and industries.  
  • Develop product marketing materials including website content, product data sheets, presentations, use cases, case studies and other sales material and content / communication in collaboration with marketing managers and product managers 
  • Market Segmentation: Analyze market needs and define Buyer Personas to effectively address relevant segments. 

 

Sales Enablement 

  • Equip Sales Teams: Design and deliver sales enablement tools and training to enhance the sales team's effectiveness in selling our products. 
  • Leverage Solution Selling: Apply Solution Selling methodologies to align marketing efforts with the sales process. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather insights from the sales team to refine marketing strategies and collateral. 

 

Market Analysis & Strategy Development 

  • Conduct Market Research: Perform in-depth analysis of market trends, customer insights, and the competitive landscape to inform product marketing strategy. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics to guide product marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 
  • Collaborate on Product Development: Work with product management on future enhancements, modernizations, pricing, and use cases.  

Product Launch Management 

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with teams across marketing, product management, and sales to ensure successful product launches. 
  • Develop Launch Plans: Create comprehensive launch plans, including timelines, promotional activities, and performance metrics. 
  • Build systems integration/partner marketing materials for marketing to and through the channel 
  • Monitor Performance: Track launch outcomes, extract insights, and adjust strategies to optimize results. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals, strategies, and activities. 
  • Global Coordination: Collaborate with teams across different geographies to drive cohesive marketing efforts. 
  • Facilitate Communication: Serve as a central point of contact between product marketing and other departments including product management, product development, sales and others.

Experience 

  • Strong background in product marketing within the technology sector globally. 
  • Proven experience in developing product positioning and creating a distinct competitive position. 
  • Demonstrated capability in sales enablement and supporting the sales process through effective marketing tools and strategies. 
  • History of executing impactful marketing strategies and campaigns that deliver tangible business results.  
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with B2B SaaS products 
  • Proven experience in successfully preparing and executing GTM plans for new SaaS products that cover customer acquisition, positioning, buyer experience, sales alignment, and content creation 
  • Proven ability to grasp complex product concepts and create compelling market facing product content 
  • Expertise in supporting a land-and-expand sales strategy with effective upsell and cross-sell marketing programs 
  • Experience in executing marketing programs that improve net revenue retention 
  • Experience driving both direct and channel sales 
  • Data-driven approach and exceptional ROI-tracking skills with the ability to prove what is and isn’t working 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Any college degree; MBA preferred 

 Preferred experience 

  • Franchise-based market segment experience 
  • Video surveillance or IoT industry experience 
  • Product marketing experience promoting AI products
