Job Overview Summary

The Product Marketing Director – Review Services is responsible for owning the go-to-market strategy, launch process, and execution of solution, customer, and thought-leadership content in support of Advarra’s review services business. As an integral part of Advarra’s marketing leadership team, this role is responsible for developing compelling marketing and sales content that brings solutions to life for buyers, moving them along their journey to accelerate sales cycle, increase win rates, and improve customer retention. The right candidate will bring a “full stack” product marketing skill-set that includes generating buyer insights through primary and secondary research, conducting competitive analysis, developing differentiated positioning and messaging, working with executive-level customers to tell success stories, and developing sales collateral. This role will also be responsible for working with internal and external subject matter experts and KOLs to create and produce thought leadership content, including blogs, webinars, abstract submissions, conference presentations, articles, etc. The role will report to the Head of Product Marketing. This position requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication (writing and PowerPoint) skills, and proven leadership in B2B product marketing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial and review services leadership to develop and execute the overall product marketing strategy to align with company goals, driving market differentiation and revenue growth
  • Work closely with internal and external subject matter experts and KOLs to create and produce thought leadership content, including blogs, webinars, abstract submissions, conference presentations, articles, etc.
  • Develop, deliver, and own product/services positioning and messaging that differentiates Advarra’s offerings, demonstrates their value to buyers, and incorporates feedback from buyers
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure the GTM strategy and value propositions are resonating in the market and create feedback loops to refine the value proposition and product positioning
  • Develop and lead launches for new offerings, enhancements, and partnerships, ensuring alignment across the Product, Sales, and Marketing organizations.
  • Conduct competitive landscape analyses and deep-dives on core competitors to build battlecards, head-head selling materials, and differentiated messages. Also, advise services teams on strategies for creating a differentiated solution
  • Partner with the rest of marketing on paid, earned, shared and owned strategies
  • Collaborate with Sales and Enablement to develop and deliver trainings that ensure the sales team is enabled on the buyers, competitors, messaging, customer stories, and content.
  • Establish clear goals and KPIs to measure the success of product marketing initiatives in support of the business and measure the achievement of marketing goals
  • Drive awareness and core messaging with internal and external stakeholders and client targets aligning all communications to help build/extend core messaging and brand equity in support of the line of business’s strategic vision
  • Create content (e.g., sales enablement tools, case studies, press releases, website copy, blog posts, sales decks, sell sheets, videos, etc.) that clearly articulates how Advarra products and services benefit customers
  • Provide editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all publications and social media
  • Ensure business line maintains consistency to all Advarra branding materials and collateral
  • Coordinate regular market research and monitor trends
  • Help manage and provide thought leadership within customer community, including Advarra-led events, and work with event manager to help with strategy of offerings at trade show events
  • Act as the product evangelist both internally and externally, representing the company at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings
  • Brief industry analysts on a regular basis and build and maintain briefing materials to inform analyst reports

Location

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Marketing Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Business OR equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience required
  • Experience in the life sciences industry
  • Experience writing and executing strategic marketing plans
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies tailored to B2B customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA desired but not required
  • An interest in understanding the industry and our business' mission
  • Ability to translate strategic initiatives into executable strategies
  • Proficiency in marketing metrics and analytics
  • Excellent project and team management for internal teams and vendors
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills, including strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work highly collaboratively with cross-functional teams, while also possessing strong organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts and deadlines
  • Collaborative relationship-building skills with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Computer competency with fluency in Windows and Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) is essential

The base salary range for this role is $​125,400​ - $213,300​. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
