ABOUT THE ROLE
Inbound Product Management serves as the voice of the customer within Accela. Our team is responsible for driving execution by translating customer needs into impactful, solution-driven roadmaps. We focus on the internal development of products, including gathering requirements, defining features, and collaborating closely with engineering teams. By managing the product roadmap and prioritizing features based on customer feedback and market analysis from the outbound Product Manager, we ensure that our products align with user needs and business objectives.
Our work is centered around creating innovative solutions that help governments increase productivity and better serve their citizens. In this role, you will develop business cases, create product roadmaps, define product requirements, and interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, engineering, sales, support, marketing, partners, and customers.
As an inbound Product Manager, you'll play a key role in aligning engineering teams with various stakeholders. This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, a proven track record of working with technical, product, and marketing teams, and the ability to lead and drive results. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong leadership abilities, have solid business acumen, and be experienced in SaaS software development and business processes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Accela’s end-to-end feature delivery cycle, including conversion of use cases into requirements and development of solutions on an enterprise SaaS platform.
- Lead as a Product Owner on the SCRUM team.
- Own the roadmap that drives for the best customer experience possible. Work with engineering, outbound product management, and UX leadership to deliver world-class product experiences.
- Collaborate with the outbound Product Manager and Executive Leadership to define the success criteria and KPIs that align to business goals; and develop methods to monitor progress.
- Drive buy-build-partner analysis, and where necessary, collaborate with the outbound Product Manager to review potential partner relationships for the product.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in full life-cycle Product Management
- Previous experience in process automation-oriented enterprise software, low-code configuration tools
- Technical expertise in SaaS application architecture
- History of using customer and market research to drive decision making
- Able to bring order to complex systems by identifying patterns in customer usage
- Proven track record of delivering successful enterprise software or SaaS products
- Proven stakeholder management skills working with a cross-functional team to influence and lead across all parts of a geographically distributed organization
- Proven experience working in a product driven company building a successful solution
- Previous experience presenting product vision, business results and driving collaborative discussion among large teams, to business stakeholders and executives
- Experience as a product owner in an agile environment
- Have led a migration of legacy products and feature sets to newer products/technology
- Experience identifying and addressing customer needs, building relationships with customers, and communicating with customers in a clear and knowledgeable manner
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a track record of measuring and reporting key performance indicators including revenue, market adoption, margin and up-sell/cross sell
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Accessibility conformance, using Accessibility tools like AXE, JAWS, Total Validator; Have taken any general or specific training in Accessibility for the web.
- Experience working with State and Local government.

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $150,000. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this role is eligible to earn commissions.
