We are now seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Terraform Team. This is a vital role with a specific focus on Terraform Enterprise, the self-managed variant of HCP Terraform. Your role will be centered around self-managed enterprise application workflows such as installation, upgrade, configuration, high availability, scalability, observability, and release management.
What you’ll do (responsibilities)
- Craft the product story by understanding the landscape, user needs, and HashiCorp principles.
- Contribute to the Terraform Enterprise platform strategy documents to set the context for the product roadmap.
- Prioritize the product roadmap by taking feedback from customers, ecosystem partners, engineering, marketing, field teams, and the HashiCorp vision.
- Conduct user research and write Press Release/Frequently Asked Questions (PRFAQs), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to distill the research into requirements for engineering to deliver.
- Work closely with engineering to write acceptance criteria for features and answer any questions they may have during implementation.
- Communicate product status to all partners and stakeholders. Keep sales, marketing, and support updated on feature releases and keep engineering informed on feature requests.
- Help with sales and marketing collateral to educate on the product story and features (Website copy, whitepapers, sales decks, FAQs, etc).
What you’ll need (basic qualifications)
- 3+ years of product management experience with enterprise, developer-facing products
- 1+ years of experience with self-managed enterprise products
- Strong technical acumen, comfortable engaging with the product to pinpoint potential issues
- Experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, IBM Cloud)
- Experience with on-premises products
- Strong user and market research skills
- Ability to organize multiple stakeholders towards a common goal
- Analytical with the ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs
- Comfortable talking to developers and platform engineers to work on product discovery

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$165,800—$195,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$152,000—$178,800 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$138,100—$162,500 USD ApplyJob Profile
