Remote U.S. Role

Altera Digital Health is seeking a driven and experienced Product Manager to lead the regulatory strategy and execution for our Paragon community hospital solution. This role will focus on ensuring Paragon's compliance with evolving healthcare regulations, particularly related to FHIR and other key interoperability standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare regulatory landscape and a proven track record of successfully delivering compliant solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of this role is to deliver on product roadmap priorities to achieve time to market and time to value targets by managing the product development lifecycle for a given product(s) through proven technical leadership.  This role will be responsible for specific Paragon Regulatory commitments, including but not limited to The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) Promoting Interoperability and eCQM programs.  The Regulatory Product Manager will be responsible for the analysis of Promoting Interoperability and eCQM data and methodologies and production of documentation to support product development and subsequently client implementations and support.

  • Define and prioritize Paragon product requirements, with a primary focus on regulatory compliance, including FHIR and other interoperability standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications and user stories.
  • Analyze and document upcoming regulatory changes and their impact on Paragon, proactively identifying opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Manage the product roadmap for regulatory features, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and industry experts to stay informed about evolving requirements and best practices.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand their regulatory needs and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including regulatory impact assessments and compliance artifacts.
  • Support sales, marketing, and other teams with regulatory expertise as needed.
  • Champion a culture of regulatory compliance within the Paragon team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, business, IT or related field, or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT or a related field
  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and interoperability rules (e.g., 21st Century Cures Act).
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards, including FHIR, HL7v2, and CDA.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable product plans.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) is a plus.
  • Paragon experience is a plus.

TRAVEL

U.S.-based travel as required (up to 10%, including client visits and industry events)

Remote U.S. role – prefer Eastern / Central Time zone location

Salary Range$90,000—$110,000 USD
