Job Description
Fabletics is currently looking for a Product Development Manager.
How do you fit in:
As the Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development process by collaborating closely with Design, Fabric R&D, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production and manufacturers. The ideal candidate will ensure that design integrity, quality, and target price are maintained and that products are developed within an allocated timeline. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, takes accountability, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
This position will report to the Sr. Director, Product Development & Production.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Production and external vendors to effectively execute product.
- Update BOMs with designers as necessary (material / hardware changes) and forward to factory in a timely manner for accurate costing.
- Responsible for product costing and seasonal negotiation with vendors and suppliers.
- Develop seasonal trims.
- Attend all fittings and proto reviews with the Design and Technical Design and facilitate resolving all issues.
- Identify and address key issues and challenges in construction and manufacturing.
- Provide reports through the development and approval process
- Offer suggestions, changes and development/ production perspectives to improve products and ensure successful commercialization (of the product)
- Perform root cause analysis and communicate finding; recommending solutions to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with design, production, and merchandising in regard to changes / discrepancies / on time delivery etc.
- Communicate all style development progress to the vendor keeping them updated and address any concerns
What you can bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in apparel product development
- Knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, basic fabric properties, fabric printing and surface applications (e.g. screen printing)
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
- Flexible, organized and adaptable to the changing needs of the business.
- Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills
- Works well under a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in performance apparel preferred

The annual base salary range for this position is from $89,100-$95,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
