About the team
The Instacart Retailer Platform team is dedicated to helping retailers establish their ecommerce experience, drive customer engagement, streamline their operations, and optimize their presence across digital and physical channels. By leveraging Instacart’s unique expertise, we help retailers better understand customer behavior, enhance their marketing strategies, and adapt to market trends, all of which ultimately help them drive growth, improve customer satisfaction, and boost profitability.
Our Instacart Design Team is an innovative and collaborative group comprising Product Designers, Content Designers, Researchers, and Program Managers. About the Role
As Product Designer on the Retailer Platform team, you’ll join a dynamic team helping shape the future on white label retailer experiences. In this role you’ll explore and prototype different ways to create delightful shopping experiences for consumers that reflect a retailer’s unique brand and merchandising strategies. You’ll partner with other designers, user research, and cross-functional partners to evolve the Retailer platform to increase customer engagement with personalized and differentiated experiences. Your creativity and design craft will be at the forefront, helping untangle complex problems and systems to deliver simple, polished, and delightful products for our retailers and their customers.
About You
Minimum qualifications
- You have 3+ years of experience in digital product design, with a proven track record of working across both mobile and web platforms
- Demonstrated success in enhancing business metrics through the delivery of clear, effective, and user-centered design solutions
- Exceptional communication skills, excelling in cross-functional collaboration to address and solve complex challenges
- Expertise in visual design, with a keen attention to detail and a solid grasp of WCAG accessibility standards
- Highly adaptable, with experience in reprioritizing projects and strategies to meet the evolving needs of the business
- Proficient in maintaining comprehensive design documentation, ensuring smooth collaboration in both synchronous and asynchronous remote work environments
- Strong portfolio showcasing your problem solving skills, a high level of craft and quality exemplifying a high caliber of design; you MUST provide a link to your portfolio (and password if applicable) to be considered for this role
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with motion design and animation, especially for prototypes for presentations or user research
