Principal Systems Engineer

 The Principal Systems Engineer is responsible for design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems software solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of systems engineering and programming concepts and techniques.

Technology domains covered by the Principal Systems Engineer include end user computing (EUC), unified communication & collaboration solutions (UCC), productivity tooling including digital employee experience (DEX), and ITSM (support services). The Principal Systems Engineer will serve as a technology expert for our Humana’s Associate Technology Experience team. They will partner with our Architecture group on aligning technology standards and strategy, influence & inspire the upskilling of all Engineers, and oversee the analysis, design and implementation of complex and emerging technologies.

This role works with senior executives, architects, and technical leaders to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance. This role is considered an advanced subject matter expert and competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise. Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience in digital workplace and end-user technologies is foundational to role responsibilities.

Systems engineering/programming is a specialized area focused on infrastructure/systems that operate/control computer hardware/software and provides a platform for enabling end user applications and delivering comprehensive productivity solutions.
