Principal Grants and Contracts Administrator Remote  Candidates residing in AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX or NM are encouraged to apply. 

The Principal Grants and Contracts Administrator will have primary responsibility for financial reporting to support the Sponsored Projects portfolio with supervisory oversight for day-to-day technical, administrative, and operational aspects in one or more essential programs set forth by the Office of Sponsored Projects. In partnership with senior leadership, this role entails complex project design and regular application of analytical techniques, concepts, and methodologies to mitigate financial and compliance risks involved with managing sponsored projects. The Administrator must also possess expertise in financial reporting and data analytics to support financial compliance and decision-making while streamlining operations. Additionally, this position acts as an organizational spokesperson on Sponsored Project financial reporting matters, being involved in major issues analysis, and serves regularly as an expert-level consultant to management and administration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Public Administration, or related field from college or university    
  • 6 years Detailed experience reading & interpreting federal agency regulations & procedures applicable to grants and contracts
  • 8 years Experience in federal grant preparation & submission, and federal acquisition contract negotiation.            

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI, SQL or similar programming modality. 
  • Master's Degree MBA, MSA, MPH Or equivalent education and experience
  • J.D. Or equivalent education and experience

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
