The Technical Architect provides technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. As a Technology Architect, you will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Leadership team and may mentor Junior Architects and /or development team members.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Architect with Fabric experience focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable Power BI environments within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing Power BI solutions focusing on data modeling, reporting, and dashboard development. They work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and user-friendly. They also provide guidance to development teams and stay updated on the latest Power BI trends.
This role involves leveraging Fabric's capabilities, such as workspaces, datamarts, and the Spark engine, to deliver robust and performant reporting solutions.

- Designing and implementing a Power BI environment within Microsoft Fabric that can handle large datasets and user loads, according to a job description.
- Develop data models, reports, and dashboards that align with business objectives.
- Gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Focus on performance, scalability, and usability of the developed solutions.
- Offer technical expertise and mentorship to development teams on best practices for Power BI development.
- Work with data engineers, data scientists, and other teams to integrate Power BI with existing infrastructure and analytics platforms.
- Conduct training sessions for users and maintain documentation for developed solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and capabilities and assess their potential impact on the organization's analytics strategy.
- Building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, leveraging Fabric's capabilities for scalable and interactive visualizations.
- Developing roadmaps for Power BI and Fabric architecture, and guiding implementation teams in deploying solutions.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Architect with a strong understanding of data visualization and analytics.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Power BI development and architecture
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric workspaces, datamarts, and Spark engine
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and leading a Center of Excellence for Power BI.
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI features, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and administration.
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data transformation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Good to have skills: Tableau , Snowflake, Databricks , DBT
- Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
- Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
- Experience in defining new architectures and the ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
- Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices.
- Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
- Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents.
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing offshore teams.
- Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
- Experience leading internal initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be independent and self-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
