The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Patient Support Transition Specialist, you will be the main point of contact for Solventum with hospital-based case managers, discharge planners, and social workers. This position will support financial and strategic territory goals by ensuring a smooth transition for patients who need to continue V.A.C Therapy after being discharged from the hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly and annual sales forecast by prospecting, meeting or exceeding required number of in-person weekly sales engagements, consistent follow-up, and effective negotiation skills.
- Effective and efficient utilization of customer relationship management tool for effective management of sales/territory plan
- Proficient with data analysis to assist in territory management
- Collaborate effectively with internal business partners e.g. Inside Sales, Application Engineering, Product Specialists, Clinical Specialists, and local field-based counterparts
- Partner with customers to help them achieve their goals of reducing costs and improving clinical outcomes through Solventum’s full portfolio of solutions
- Be able to clearly and thoroughly articulate the value proposition of our full product line
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Provide leads for core Solventum V.A.C.® Therapy disposables
- Represent Solventum products and services to hospitals, nurses, discharge planners, case managers, and other clinical professionals.
- Engage with Case Managers to initiate therapy orders, prescriptions and online authorizations.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND two (2) years of combined sales experience and/or healthcare field in a private, public, government, or military environment
AND
- High School Diploma/GED AND six (6) years of combined sales experience and/or healthcare field in a private, public, government, or military environment
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
• Current, valid Driver’s License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• Documented track record of successful sales experience
• Clinical wound care, physical therapy or other related patient care experience
• Demonstrated expertise in establishing strong customer relationships with key influencers.
• Strong understanding of clinical value drivers across care areas.
• Customer focused selling and closing.
• Outstanding data and analytical skills
• Completion of a formal sales training program
• Experience using CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
• Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
