2nd Year OTE: $60,000-$65,000; Future OTE Potential: $70,000-$85,000
Base Salary: $50,000-$55,000 + Uncapped Commissions

Outside Sales Representative (sales exp. req.) Description 

Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join their Team. You’ll build relationships with construction companies across the state to sell their heavy equipment solutions. Most of your concentration will be in Casper while also covering northern WY in the Gillette area down to Cheyenne. They have a strong account base for their agricultural sales in this territory but they’re working to increase their presence within construction. They’ve created this new position to establish the territory. Although candidates with experience using or selling equipment like excavators and tractors would be helpful, our client understands product knowledge can be taught. What will truly define success in this role is your hunter mentality. Someone who understands perseverance pays and having face time with your customers is crucial to building relationships that lead to repeat business. Once you build up your client base, you’ll be overseeing a pipeline of $3-7m. If you’re looking for an opportunity more focused on inside sales or account management, this would not be a good fit. Important note: You’ll have the flexibility to set your travel schedule. Your territory allows for very limited overnights so although you’ll be on the road almost daily, you’ll be home practically each night     

Outside Sales Representative (sales exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Build and nurture relationships with customers 
•    Schedule appointments and travel to meet customers 
•    Follow up on opportunities and convert leads to sales 
•    Respond to technical inquiries and demo equipment 
•    Maintain comprehensive product knowledge 
•    Create sales agreements and proposals 
•    Promote additional offerings including service and parts
•    Appraise used equipment and consult with service department   
•    Attend trade shows and customer deliveries 
•    Meet or exceed monthly and annual equipment sales goals

Outside Sales Representative (sales exp. req.) Qualifications 

•    2+ years of sales experience required 
•    New customer acquisition experience required 
•    Daily local travel required (very limited overnight travel)
