Ophthalmology Account Director

Reporting to the Executive Director GPO and Key Accounts, this field-based market access position will serve as the single point of contact for customers, identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and aligning with brand strategy. The Ophthalmology Account Director will lead and manage Key Accounts while working to identify and develop relationships with key decision makers within the C-Suite of targeted Key Accounts.
The OAD’s primary responsibility is to appropriately communicate, educate, and explain to practices and practice leadership the Ophthalmology products program while using approved messaging and materials. To help educate practices there is a requirement for clinical, business and analytical skill, payer coverage and reimbursement information that the OAD can provide to ensure that practices understand the products themselves and the patient access landscape. This contextual information must be communicated using approved materials and messaging.
A typical day might include the following:- Recognizes national business impact of current and emerging trends within Key Accounts to proactively identify new growth opportunities.
- Demonstrates extensive market knowledge and skilled in creating strategic plans to address business opportunities within the ophthalmology business segment.
- Engages regularly with key decision makers and opinion leaders to understand business needs while aligning approved resources.
- Works closely with the cross-functional team and matrix partners to develop an integrated plan to provide benefit for patients.
- Identifies and develops innovative customer opportunities while engaging with C-Suite Executives, Physician Leadership, and other key partners within the identified Key Accounts

To be considered for this opportunity, we expect you to have a bachelor's degree at a minimum along with 7+ years of experience with and 5+ years of leadership experience. We also require a depth of experience of Field-Facing commercial role ideally in Retina/Ophthalmology and buy and bill engagements. This is a remote role that will require 70% travel.
