About the role

  • The VA Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the personnel and functions of the Allsup Veterans Disability Appeal Service Department (AVDAS). The AVDAS is in a rapid growth environment with rising caseloads and significant staffing growth. The primary function of the AVDAS is to support and educate potential customers about the disability appeals process and Allsup’s services.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for people management which includes staffing, coaching, performance management, development, motivation, and recognition of employees.
  • Lead the performance management process, including developing performance plans, conducting annual performance reviews, routine quality audits as well as monthly one on one discussions.
  • Understands, develops, and implements KPIs and metrics.
  • Develops and monitors progress of team and employee goals.
  • Conducts regular one-on-one meetings with each employee to build strong relationships and provide performance feedback.
  • Analyzes business data and makes recommendations to improve operations, customer experience, as well as forecast and plan.
  • Ensures all employees understand and utilize the company’s best practices for performing their roles.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, programs, and communications to motivate and educate employees.
  • Responsible for detecting and developing training materials to further enhance the performance of the AVDAS team.
  • Communicate company goals so employees understand their roles.
  • Lead or assist in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Allsup Experience.
  • Proven experience in management and/or supervisory role
  • Experience analyzing data and results, making plans based on results, communication of results, and subsequent modifications.
  • Excelled oral and written skills.
