Primary responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies and initiatives to optimize transportation and distribution networks within North America.
- Forecast logistics needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to align logistics strategies with broader company goals.
- Collaborate with carriers, customer care and other business departments to create customer centric solutions while managing costs and executing consistent, high on-time-delivery.
- Identify and implement process and system needs to maintain future company growth.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor logistics teams, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, production, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
- Coordinate with regional and global teams to align logistics operations across different markets.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics performance, including delivery time, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with data teams to develop regular reports on logistics performance, cost analysis, and recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Skills and abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of logistics software and tools (ex: Oracle tools)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to optimize logistics processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain or Logistics
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with domestic and international freight
- Essential to have proven experience in ocean freight and small parcel shipping
- Experience with maquiladora operations at the San Diego, CA border preferred.
- Bi weekly travel will be required including visits to our Tijuana, MX plant
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

This is a US Remote position. The California base annual salary/hourly range for this role is currently $110,000-$130,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. Our recruiters can share more information about our bonus program, benefits and equity during the hiring process. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
