Overview:The Intermediary Wholesaler will provide a competitive advantage to GMO in the marketing of its investment management capabilities to advisor teams working at select Wirehouses and Independent Broker Dealers in the West Coast Region. The Wholesaler will be responsible for building GMO’s business in a manner that is consistent with GMO’s investment capabilities, goals and culture through the following efforts:
•Construct and execute on a comprehensive, structured calling plan•Partner closely with other members of the Intermediary Business Development team to proactively identify and create new revenue and business opportunities •Drive sales of recommended products through regional advisor offices•Cultivate relationships with key decision makers •Maintain a strong industry network through conference attendance and other avenues, as well as a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and how it is evolving•Contribute meaningfully to the growth and diversification of GMO’s revenue base •Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to curate collateral and events for the advisor client base•Communicate with various constituents throughout the organization (GMO) to provide market/industry information, education on channel and feedback

Required Skills:
- 3 years of internal, hybrid and/or external wholesaling experience, including a solid working knowledge of the major Wirehouses and IBDs
- Strong product knowledge, particularly in multi-asset, equities and fixed income
- Robust existing network of contacts
- Proven ability to confidently communicate and be an advocate for GMO’s broad investment strategies across a wide range of intermediary clients
- Outstanding communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding about financial markets and the ability to clearly discuss investment techniques, strategies and concepts including fixed income, equities and alternatives
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree
- CFA a plus
- Will be required to pass Series 63, 7 and 3, within specified time frame
Location:
- The position will be based in San Francisco
- Candidate will focus on business development in major metro markets on the West Coast
