Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Field Project Manager to act in the role of a National Drafting Manager to join our team! In this National Drafting Manager role you will be the Computer Aided Engineering Graphis (CAEG) manager for all Parsons T5 contract work with the FAA, interacting with engineering managers, engineers, and drafting coordinators to help them stay in compliance with what our client, the FAA CAEG Program Office, is expecting of Parsons T5 drafting.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work directly with all our drafting staff insuring they have the proper guidance we have received from the FAA CAEG Program Office.
- Ensure the drafters stay in compliance with what T5 contract requires.
- Collect data from the FAA Drafting Tracker system and share reports with the FAA client on what projects their funding was used on for drafting.
- Work with Parsons T5 drafting supervisors and engineers to make sure they have the drafting support needed to complete the work that Parsons T5 has been tasked by the FAA client.
- Troubleshoot problems with AutoCAD and translated files and help supervisors, drafters, quality checkers, and engineers determine the best solutions to the problems that arise.
- Take difficult issues to the FAA CAEG Program Office and help them determine the best course of action to support our Parsons T5 drafting support and all other users being affected by the issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Several years of experience working in the FAA client's drafting system.
- Excellent understanding of FAA Drafting Standards and proven ability to teach novice drafters and engineers the requirements of the standards.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Ability to clearly inform program management of drafting improvements, issues, and concerns in easy to understand terminology.
- Develop client relationships across the T5 programs to the excellent levels reached in the smaller service area work.
